KRPF Police Officers Awarded Medals in Quebec City
During the 2018 Québec Aboriginal Chiefs of Police Annual Meeting, Captain Tony Paquet and Sergeant Investigator Kenneth Barnaby received medals for their many years of service with the KRPF.
Both officers have been in the employ of the KRPF for 15 years.
The event, which was organized by the Ministère de la Sécurité publique, took place from June 12 to 14, and highlighted the service of 24 police officers who have worked in Aboriginal communities for 15 to 40 years. Jean-Pierre Larose, KRPF Chief and Director of the Public Security Department of the Kativik Regional Government also attended the event along the Associate Deputy Minister of Public Security, Louis Morneau.
Many workshops and conferences were also organized during the three-day meeting. The award ceremony was held on the last day, on June 14.
Captain Paquet works in Salluit, and Sergeant Investigator Barnaby, in Kuujjuaq.
