NPS seizure in Umiujaq

On February 5, Umiujaq NPS officers and the Integrated Investigation Team conducted a search in connection with the resale of alcohol and the illegal sale of cannabis. An individual was arrested and questioned by the police, and was released on summons. The investigation file will be completed and submitted to the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions (DPCP) for analysis. The search led to the seizure of:
- Approximately 300 g of cannabis
- 3 × 60 ounces of Canadian Club
- 4 × 60 ounces of Troika Vodka
- 1 × 26 ounces of Troika Vodka
- 5 × 13 ounces of Canadian Club
- 1 × 13 ounces of vodka
- $375 in Canadian currency
- 2 cell phones
