The new Call Center: It is the beginning

On March 6, a new emergency call service will begin its operations to improve the security of Nunavimmiut. The new service will begin operating in Umiujaq. In the following months, the NPS will implement the service of the call centre in Kuujjuaraapik, Inukjuak, and Puvirnituq. The City of Saint-Eustache’s emergency call centre will answer calls and quickly dispatch police officers where they are needed. This new communication channel will greatly reduce the delays of intervention by the police service. NPS supervisors will do the follow-ups of all calls received at the call centre to ensure the efficiency of the service.
