Confidential Toll Free Service for Sexual Assault Victims

A new toll free service has been launched by the Québec Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions for sexual assault victims who are considering filing a complaint with police.

​The confidential service, delivered by a prosecutor specialized in dealing with sexual offence cases, will permit victims to obtain information on the complaint process. The toll free number (1-877-547-3727) is open from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Sapummijiit Crime Victims Assistance Centre can also be contacted for assistance related to sexual assault.
